- 900g Greek Yogurt
- 1/4 Peeled Cucumber
- 1 Tsp Garlic OilOr you can diced 1 glove of garlic
- 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
- 2 Leafs Chopped Mint
Traditional Albanian yogurt (Kos) is homemade, it tastes the same as Greek yogurt and is really simple to make. This cucumber yogurt is called Tarator and is great as a side dip to any Albanian food, and a great way to have something different then just plain.
Prepare the Yogurt
Homemade yogurt is best to use, but I use Greek or natural yogurt as a base. Mix well the yogurt, cucumber, salt, olive oil, garlic oil (or garlic) together in a bowl.
Pour into a small pot and chill for 15 Minutes before serving.
